Since Farmgirl Flowers was founded in 2010, the bouquet delivery service has disrupted the floral industry. Now, the San Francisco-based startup is taking on a whole new field of business: weddings.
Farmgirl Flowers introduced a wedding-specific collection on Wednesday, which will allow couples to streamline the floral process by simply choosing the bouquets and centerpieces they want. Then, the company will arrange, carefully pack, and ship the flowers directly to the couple’s destination.
The option is not only affordable (everything is under $150!), but a special opportunity for those who don’t live near a variety of floral designers. “Growing up in rural Indiana, I always found special occasion flowers to be a little lackluster,” CEO and founder of Farmgirl Flowers, Christina Stembel, told The Knot. “We just didn’t have access to a lot of premium floral options.”
Farmgirl Flowers will begin shipping on August 1 to 48 states (not including Alaska or Hawaii). “Now brides and grooms can have beautiful, hand-tied bouquets and boutonnières on their special day,” Stembel said. “no matter where they live.”
