What types of locations or settings are very popular now?
Several of my brides still are looking for a unique location for their weddings. Outdoor large garden areas that are filled with trees and views are the most popular. Often when the client finds out the cost of renting a unique location we end up in a venue that has a lot to offer such as tables, chairs and a kitchen. Barns for me are still the rage and I don’t see them disappearing anytime soon! What’s better than a rustic barn and a Vera wang lace gown?
How can a couple create a unique centerpiece for their reception table?
I love when the bride likes the idea of mixing centerpieces. My favorite is still using a mixture of interesting vessels — about five — and filling them with a variety of florals and unique votives or glass candle containers.
Mixing modern containers with vintage florals whether high or low is always magical. Add a bowl of winter berries and you have a memorable centerpiece.
Are sit-down multiple courses popular or are couples choosing a more imaginative way to serve their reception meal?
Sit down dinners mostly at my weddings…family style really only works served French style so that there could be centerpieces. My favorite right now is a 3 course meal and the entree being the 2nd course. I love serving baskets of french fries and delicious bowls of roasted Brussels sprouts or sweet corn. They are small enough that they can sit on the table.
