Blake Lively Wedding Details

In case you haven’t heard, the celeb world is abuzz with the news that Hollywood couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married this weekend. The couple, who has been dating for almost a year, tied the knot this past Sunday outside of Charleston, South Carolina at the Boone Hall Plantation at the venue’s Cotton Docks. So far, the details we know is that Blake Lively, who models for Gucci and Chanel in addition to her acting gigs, wore a Marchesa wedding dress , Christian Louboutin shoes, and their rings were designed by Lorraine Schwartz.

The couple chose the historical venue because Ryan Reynolds, who is from Vancouver, is apparently a big fan of Charleston. They hired Martha Stewart’s wedding team, along with wedding planner Tara Guérard of Soiree in Charleston,to help coordinate the wedding. Lively’s close friend Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine sang a few tunes, as did Bette Midler, who is a friend of Lively’s mom Elaine (a talent manager). Photos from the wedding and more details are going to appear in the Winter issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, which is out in December.

While we’re all interested in seeing photos of the beautiful bride and her ab-ridden beau, I’m here to divulge the most fascinating fact you’ll read about the wedding or the couple: Blake Lively’s brother is none other than Rusty from European Vacation.

Yes. Rusty, aka Jason Lively, is Blake’s half brother (they share the same mother). As a Chevy Chase movie addict, I would like to reveal that I have in fact known about this for quite some time, and it’s made me more and more interested in watching bad movies such as The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Green Lantern just so I can see a relative of the second son cast in the Vacation series.

And now, I would like to honor the brother (groomsman?) with my favorite clip:
