It turns out time really DOES mend an achy breaky heart, or at least it did for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their family home on December 23.
“This makes my heart so happy,” Tish Cyrus, Miley’s mom, captioned on Instagram on a snapshot of the couple taken at their wedding.

Miley Cyrus, 26, also confirmed the wedding on Instagram, captioning a photo of her hugging Hemsworth with: “12.23.18” and “10 years later …..”
Sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the singer and the actor wed at Cyrus’ Franklin, Tennessee home. The pair was originally going to get married at their oceanfront Malibu home over the holidays, but sources say their home was burned down in the wildfires and the newlyweds have been living in Franklin while the damage is being repaired.

The wedding appeared to be mostly family and at home, with an amazing assortment of balloons and string lights hung up around the house and desserts displayed in the kitchen. The bride wore a beautiful Vivienne Westwood gown, and her parents, Tish and Billy Ray, wore black suits (Tish later changed into a pair of jeans as the celebration went on). Liam Hemsworth, 28, wore a black suit as well.

Photos have continued to stream in from those in attendance, including a sweet photo of Miley and Liam kissing that the singer captioned “This is probably our one – millionth kiss,” seeming to poke fun of the fact that the pair have been dating on and off since they made their official couple debut in 2010. You can see their full dating timeline here.

Congrats to the happy couple!
That’s a little different one than most celebrity weddings. But different is good.
