I’m finally back from the holidaze…first Christmas, then New Years. We had some great trips and fun times, and now we’re back in the swing of things. It feels like it’s been forever!
Now that I’m back to posting, I wanted to share this Suzi Chin bridesmaid dress I saw from Nordstrom. I love slightly grey/neutral bridesmaid dresses, because you can liven them up with great accessories and flowers. Aside from a great price, this cut should be versatile enough that your bridesmaids could wear it again.
I’m back from my vacation in California! We had an amazing time. Our first stop was a gorgeous wedding in San Diego with two of our favorite people. The weather and setting was perfect, and the bride was gorgeous! From there we spent a week in Napa and San Fran. I am seriously in love with Napa…particularly with this resort we stayed at which I’ll write about soon. I’m currently drinking coffee out of a mug we bought at the resort’s restaurant, daydreaming about when I get to go back. Don’t you love when you get a trip memento that makes you do that?
I have a lot of posts to catch up on here (I missed you guys!), so I’ll start with a dress designer I recently saw in Allure magazine that has some fun bridesmaid dress options. A lot of Dalia MacPhee’s dresses aren’t available online, but there are a select few at Nordstrom. If you go to her website you can also find retailers in your area that carry her line, but that’s only useful if all your bridesmaids live in the same state.
I found this cute one online at Nordstrom, and think it would be great for a Spring or Summer wedding.

I tried on my first Rachel Roy Collection dress at TJ Maxx in their Runway section (if you haven’t picked through this yet, you’re missing out!), and fell in love with the cut of her clothes. Her Rachel by Rachel Roy collection is more my budget, especially when she’s having a 30% off sale on EVERYTHING. I think a couple of her dresses could make cute bridesmaids dresses if they fit in with your color scheme. The sale goes until March 21, so if you like one of them send the link to your bridesmaids ASAP!
Nevermind the fact that I want to live within an Anthropologie catalogue…but now I can’t get over how cute some of their “after 8″ dresses are.
These two would make amazing, out-of-the-box bridesmaid dresses (the beige one could even be a WEDDING dress), and chances are the girls would DEFINITELY wear these again. Who doesn’t want an excuse to buy something from Anthropologie?
As a newly engaged writer, I had a hard time finding the practical information I needed to plan my wedding. While the wedding books, magazines, and websites I read had pretty pictures, they seemed to just skim the surface when it came to providing helpful ways for me to create the wedding of my dreams. Now that I'm married, I hope this blog serves as a resource for all you other bride-to-be's, with unique ideas for wedding venues, wedding decorations, wedding dresses, and more!
