Q: The wedding favors we want are WAY out of our price range, so I’m wondering if you have any suggestions. The theme is lake/cabin/woods/fishing/water…so basically an outdoor theme. I am looking for something a little on the less expensive side and preferably not edible. I feel like everyone does cookies or candy as party favors!- Lindsay
A: Hi Lindsay! (Love your name). So, you basically have one of my FAVORITE wedding themes, and there are a ton of great, affordable options you can choose for your wedding favors. One of my favorite are these camping mugs (pictured in our favorite wedding favors gallery). You can find similar custom camping mugs for about $2.14/each. These DIY birdseed wedding favors are also super cute.
If you’re having a fall or winter wedding, think about DIY’ing some pinecone fire starters. Martha Stewart has a great tutorial here. Tree seedlings (which you can wrap in burlap and tie with a ribbon) are another good option. You can buy tree seedlings here for as low $1.65/each for 100-249 units. If you want to donate to a good cause and you think your guests will appreciate the gesture, you can donate in their name to any one of these environmental charities. We’ve also got some ideas on how to package charitable wedding favors here, too!
I hope this helps!! Let us know what you end up doing!
